In the year 1976 ASSOCIATION OF TRAVEL AGENTS OF BANGLADESH (ATAB) was formed with a clear cut mandate and constitution based on the welfare of the ATAB members and

1. To nourish the travel trade of this country

2. To help the Government to develop this travel trade to the expectation of the people of Bangladesh.

3. To promote, protect and safeguard the Interest of travel trade and tourism

4. To foster the idea of cooperation and friendly relation among the travel agents & airlines

5. To establish and maintain high ethical standard and quality development among those engaged in travel trade in Bangladesh

6. To communicate with the Govt. machineries, airlines, Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Bangladesh and abroad with a view to ensure the world class standard of travel trade and tourism.
